My mom had a stroke in 1988 and less than six months later, she would seriously kick your ass at bowling.

She had trophies and everything.

Of course, she also called me "Claudio" and thought I worked as a greeter at Walmart, but....nah, just kidding. She was fine.

I'm betting that with your attitude, you will be, too.

Hey Guys...Lets tone down the religion a bit.....just the basic rules...

Pzo I just got back from dinner and seeing Linda Ronstadt tonight. (john Ferraro on drums!) I got 4 tickets so I brought my wife and Sue and John Brodie. If you dont know who John Brodie is he was an allamerican at stanford as quarterback and the 49ers QB for 17 years League MVP, Broadcaster, and finally a Professional Golfer who won on the senior tour.

John had a massive stroke 6 years ago and wouldnt tell anyone and went to bed and they finally got to him 12 hours later. They didnt think he would live much less speak.

We had a fabulous time tonight and he is walking proof to never give up.

I have known a several people in my life who had major strokes. The doctors said they couldn't expect much, but they were able to move beyond that. I'm glad you have a positive attitude and a higher authority who's telling it like it is ;) . Sounds like you've still got your head screwed on straight and with that, and faith, you can do anything.

Look at it this way, no matter what, you CAN play the bass again. Wither you fully recover or not. If not and your left side is still impaired, you always have your right hand. Even playing the bass, one hand can be enough. The main thing is not to give up. The old cliche "if there's a will there's a way" fits this to a tee. And you sound like someone that won't let something like a stroke keep you away from your fine fine SR5!

Take care

Aussie Mark....that's the guy I thought of immediately! I don't remember his name though. I heard him play on the Tonight Show (I think) and the guy is amazing! Truly inspirational!

Wishing you all the best for a good recovery - just keep positive!
My father had a stroke at 77, 5 years ago - he still lives his life to the full, and all you can tell now is that he walks with a limp, just keep strong and trust your doctors (and nurses!) to help you.
