Really cool vid Kev! Its bizarre to see an Axis go from Eddie to SRV to Gilmour but awesome at the same time. Jamie is the perfect demo man, he was thorough and touched on everything I could imagine succinctly and quickly. I hope he can recover the guitar he gave back someday.

The real question is why don’t they make these guitars for the masses?

Because not enough of the massses will buy it to make it worth their while (with their current business model and production setup). Guitar players as a whole are really conservative. If a guitar with three single coils doesn't look like a strat it doesn't sell well at all. At this price range no store wants a guitar haning on the wall for years before it sells. And as Sterling Ball used to say frequently when he was an active part of the forum community, if he built the guitars that forum members wanted, he'd be out of business a long time ago. We here on the forum are NOT representative of what the wider guitar buying community actually wants. I think that's a good thing, but it's important we remember that. :)

I'd totally buy one.
Even better yet if it was an HSS configuration.

(but all void if block inlays or fretboard binding are added lol)

Maybe a limited run, you order and you get, Non-BFR, similar to the Dargie 1 run only maybe you order it thru the Vault only? I see the over lap of Silo Special (SSS) and Cutlass (SSS). I wonder if the feeling is that an Axis (SSS) would distract from the current Axis model (HH). Just thoughts.

They definitely don't need it in their model run as they have everything covered. But we still want it. lol
My Axis is my favourite guitar to play. The neck and fretboard are perfect.
If I could have all my guitars with that, that would be heaven.
