Because not enough of the massses will buy it to make it worth their while (with their current business model and production setup). Guitar players as a whole are really conservative. If a guitar with three single coils doesn't look like a strat it doesn't sell well at all. At this price range no store wants a guitar haning on the wall for years before it sells. And as Sterling Ball used to say frequently when he was an active part of the forum community, if he built the guitars that forum members wanted, he'd be out of business a long time ago. We here on the forum are NOT representative of what the wider guitar buying community actually wants. I think that's a good thing, but it's important we remember that.The real question is why don’t they make these guitars for the masses?
