Today I learned the "Repentance" guitar solo from Dream Theater's latest album "Systematic Chaos", and made a video of it.

Great job!
My only criticism is that some of your vibrato broke with JP's and clashed a bit. He's actually pretty predictable so you could either try and match him or just sit tight on the note.
But that takes all the fun out of life!
What are you running your JP into by the way?

I'm running my JP through a Marshall JMP-1 preamp with a G-Major multi fx in the effects-loop. Then the JMP-1's emulated outputs go straight into my pc.

I learned this by ear and by watching John Petrucci play it on the Systematic Chaos documentary. You can see EXACTLY how he play's it.
