not sure if theis is the right place to post this question........ but, I am wondering if any of you guys have had luck finding vintage musicman straps from the 70's? I have an '82 stingray that I would love to pair up with a black or cream colored vintage Musicman strap.

Any ideas?

Any pictures of ones you have seen?

No answers here, but I would buy that strap in a heartbeat. Hope some one can help track some down.
 
This belongs to my 1979 Ray. They also came in Black.

Very cool.

I am assuming that these are hard to find..... I have not seen any for sale.

Hopefully something pops up, or if any members here have one they want to sell then let me know :)
 
There was one on ebay UK last winter that sold for about £120 British Sterling equal to .... $184.61 very similar to Rod Trussbroken's. I was tempted up to £50 but then it went crazy...
 
I have the brown leather strap just like Rod Trussbroken's, aged about the same, for my '78.
I also have a rare woven fabric one in beige with leather ends, is in really clean shape. I keep thinking the woven ones were from the early 80's, but don't know that for sure. But that one has to be the most comfy strap I've ever worn since it's cotton. But I'm afraid to take it out of the house!

I have 5 of the old 4' wide Lakland strapes that are very similar to the woven Musicman straps. I agree they are VERY comfy.....oh what I would do for a vintage woven musicman strap :)

Where did you find yours?
Do you have any pics?
 
Those are great! I am for sure all over the next one that pops up online.... give me a heads up if you ever see one.
