Visit from Ben-Tor the Snow Hick

Ben "Oldtoe" Alsup, an ACTUAL MUSIC MAN ENDORSED ARTIST, people please move back and give him some ROOM, came by the house today to do me a big favor.

I'm pretty sure he had no idea my wife was going to make him drink liquid Play-Doh, but he handled it like a champ.

Also, he picked up the Blue Dawn Bongo 5 HSp which will eventually find its way to Sweden (think "Strummer") by way of Paris, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada. (Anyone need a flow chart? That bass went from California to Canada to Texas and now to Nevada and then SWEDEN. Yeesh!) Thanks be to ye olde toe.

But what's a visit without photos? I ask you.

First, just before Ben got here, I took all the Bongos out for a little tea party.

They're seldom all in the same room together.

Then we retired to ye olde studio where Ben-Tor was confused by a Joni Mitchell song:

"That's a Joni Mitchell song?"

"Yes, it's Big Yellow Taxi."

"Oh. And that's Joni Mitchell?"

"Yes, Ben."

Then he became not so confused and I took this:

His shirt said "Crabby Ben" but he wasn't all that crabby, even when he drank the Play-Doh.

I love me some Ben Alsup, I do.

I enjoyed seeing my Jack. Erika's Meat Replacement Shake was excellent! Magnus' Blue Dawn Bongo made it back safely to Paris. It'll be on its way when I find out where and when to send it.



Oh yeah, next time I'll try not to arrive with a self-inflicted speech impediment (note swollen left cheek.)
