I've got a Stingray 4 with the 3-band EQ. I'm wondering if anyone knows how many volts the bass puts out?

I've been hearing some distortion when I run through one of my effects pedals, and I'm wondering if I'm overdriving the input of the pedal (it has a max input level of 1 volt).

I've also sort of wondered if I could be overdriving the internal preamp of the bass when I play really hard. I'd be surprised, but it seems like it's remotely possible.

BTW, I've got a new battery in the bass, and I generally keep the volume on max, and the EQ flat.

IMO, turn down vol on Bass (short of distortion) and adjust vol on power amp for final ouyput. On Pre EB's, the manual actually states that full vol introduces distortion....perhaps the same for EB's aswell.

Thanks, Rod. That's probably what's going on. I'll cut the volume back a bit and see what happens.
