Hey up all. My volume knob sits to high on the guitar. I took the knob off and the nut and washer off the spindle. The thread that goes into the body is out to much. Dies anyone know how to adjust it?

Thanks
Jamie

put a nut on the spindle first then insert it through the hole in the body. Then another nut on top and it should be fine. Same principle as adjusting the stomp switch on a wah wah.

Hey Jamie, sounds like a common issue as typically seen when ordering Les Paul potentiometers. There are typically (2) different (shaft length) pots when ordering for Les Pauls guitars having to do with the guitar top thickness(s) and or routing depth differences inside the control cavity. You can either: 1) Add more washers, the type with the "teeth" until you get an acceptable height. OR 2) You can contact AllParts through this webpage: Guitar Parts | Bass Guitar Parts | Amp Parts | AllParts.com , and use their online web form to ask about their potentiometers with shorter threaded spindles than what you currently have. I hope that this helps.
