Volume Control on a Stingray 5

I understand that the bass, mid, and treble controls on a Stingray 5, being on an active circuit, offer a "boost" or "cut" in the volume of the signal at the given frequency. Does the volume control also boost the signal, or does it just cut the signal if it is turned down below max?

Pretty sure the volume wont interact with the adjustments of the treble, mid and bass. The volume can be turned up and down without affecting your dialed in tone settings.

At least, that appears to be the case with the SR4. I imagine the SR5 would be the same.
