Well, I am not quite sure what to say. I want to say thanks to you all for goin crazy and voting for ME. I am NOT anywhere near up to this and it seems as if someone has pulled a prank on me. I am NOT Hendrix, Page, Beck, Brian, Petrucci, Satch, Vai, Morse etc..
..or anything or anyone on that level. I am seriously baffeled and I know this is not a serious thing. Its supposed to be FUN and thats the way and in the context it should be taken.
There is NO such thing as the best of guitar, or art of any kind. This was an amazing thing to watch but I know that you all voted for me alot, my kids and their friends and all the people that like what I do but I WAS surprised to see that it took 4 months, 40 countries and LOTS and LOTS of votes but in the end the best part is probabaly how many people it will piss off. hahaha
I can hear the flames roasting thru the internet now. hahaha
Hey *I* didnt put myself up to this BUT thanks to you all for havin fun and taking the piss out of it all. In the end I see I have alot of friends here. Biffer called everyone he knows to vote for me so I guess the fix was in there.
I got a great and humurous note from Brian May this morning. He truly is a class act and a giant musician an innovator. I love the guy.
I am humbled by your kindness and I hope you all have a great weekend.
I just rolled into New Zealand and had my first pint. Its is gorgeous here at the harbor.

As you mentioned, it is all just in fun. But this speaks volumes as to how much your music has touched people. Myself included. I just heard the entire Kingdom of Desire cd for the first time just 2 months ago. And I ask myself the question, where the hell have I been for the past 15 years to have not heard this until now! What an incredible album! I'm working my way up to speed with the rest of the Toto back catalogue and solo stuff. :D

Again, a big CONGRATS and thank you for the music and inspiration! Hope to see you on the solo tour in Minneapolis!
