hey gang on the VP Jr , Behind the jack area under the footplate is a micro taper switch which provides the user two distinct volume swell rates. the switch is down on mine which is the way it comes from the factory....just wondering if any one knows which way is which ?...:confused: i cant find the box or instructions and the EB website doesnt tell me ...thanx in advance

From the instructions:
"The taper switch is located underneath the footplate, on the back of the jack board. When switched to the up position on the 6180 (that's you), or to the left on the 6166, there will be a slight boost in the front of the sweep, creating a more gradual swell.

Awesome ...the funny thing is i keep EVERYTHING!!!! and i cannot find the vpjr box for the life of me hahaha ok i want the gradual sweep so i need to switch it up!

You're welcome. Just go play with it and see which you like better. I'm running the 25K version in my effects loop now so I can calm down the boost modes on my Rivera without cleaning up the preamp, but I never have checked to see if it had the switch. I've got a 250K and I played with it a while back and I think I liked the "more gradual swell" up position.

i just use it for swells and stuff ..i have had it for years but i just saw the Blues Saraceno vid and said huh?....wait i never noticed that ....went and looked and it is in the down position ....and i liked it in the up so thats what matters but its cool to know which way is which anyway...thanx again
