Congrats. Carbon blue looks VERY good on a Bongo:

How many knobs does yours have? Plus, well, if it had the piezos, they'd (a) tell you and (b) charge you a lot more.

Four knobs should be non-piezo equipped, if my two or three Sterlings mean anything.

1. Volume
2. Treble
3. Mids
4. Bass

If it had a piezo, you'd have a fifth knob for 'blend'.

Again, good choice and good color!

You should tell the Guitar Center manager exactly that. "If you'd had one in stock, I would have bought it."

I believe I read somewhere that even Guitar Center managers are capable of learning, although I've seen no anecdotal evidence to support such a theory.

Too radical. Bunch of boneheads. You'd think they might keep up with such things and maybe see how many Bass Central or Bass Northwest was selling, but that would mean, well, being aware of their surroundings.

Apparently it's up to the store's manager because the Guitar Center that I ordered mine through had three of 'em hanging on the racks next to the 'Rays and SUBS.

I'm glad they had them in the store otherwise I would have never known how nice they are. Probably would have walked out of the store with a Stingray instead.

As a moderator, I should probably be more political about the retailers who sell the basses we love.

It's hard, though.

The store manager of GC has a certain ammount of control. but really in the end it's all corporate. If they think it will sell in that store, they will send them ones, also certain stores get better ones, they are classified as A,B,C,D and then 2ndary market stores, which might as well be taco stands with guitar strings and a fender strat.

oh well,

very few GC's have any sort of decent bass selection at all.

thanks

Hmmm, taco stands with guitar strings and a fender strat?

I think that sort of thing would work here in Texas.

It took me a couple of tries to translate "chough mudulos chough", and I'm actually a linguist.
