dibs! :D (unless it skyrockets)

Fair shout, but define "Skyrockets"

Ferrinstance that stripped AL body that went for $510 on the bay last year struck me as "Skyrocketed" bearing in mind that at the same time EBKid was selling a whole Albert Lee with a hard case for $850.

Stratus Blue Sparkle AL though.. Love to have seen the Whole guitar though....

Maybe the seller is parting it out?

I've found that you make the most when you part something like this out.. especially if it's a particularly rare guitar.

I had an old guitar in a rare finish with a BEAUTIFUL flame neck(which was impossible to find on this particular guitar) and sold it in parts for a little over double what I paid for it.

That is Stratus Blue and it looks awesome!!

Maybe something happened to the body and that's why they are parting it out, too bad a guitar like that would go for quite a bit.

My question is, what would you do with a stratus blue AL neck?!! It would look silly on any other color AL you stick it on...

I don't want/need it, but I think the "dibs" routine is lame. It's a free auction; if you want it, bid for it.

They probably put a Fender neck on it or something, because it felt more comfortable to the owner. Makes sense.

Candid, I agree.

<begin pointless post>

'shotgun' is a necessity when there are three or more passengers! BUT, you must be outside before you can call it. No calling shotgun as soon as someone says, 'let's go'. That's cheating...

Almost $250 dollars !

Honestly, I really didn't know what to expect for a final price on it, but is $250 outrageously high? I guess I figured it would maybe go for a little more even, given the rare color, nice birdseye maple and all...

This auction was rather strange to me....I mean, the bottom line really is, "why?" "WHY?"

Like I mentioned in the other thread regarding this neck:

I found this auction to be quite weird myself. I asked the guy where the rest of the guitar was, and here was his reply:

"Owner kept the body, he was not comfortable with the position of this neck and simply switched it with another."

"the position of this neck"????? Odd, indeed.

Like I mentioned in the other thread regarding this neck:

I sold a imported Jackson Dinky neck for about 250 once, so I actually consider this a tad low...

I dunno.. that Dinky neck had a pretty incredible flame, though.
