Albert Lee should be delivered today anytime now to my front door.

Getting a little antsee.

Hey wait, is that a Corona in my fridge?

I believe it is!

Since Albert is an Englishman, might I suggest offering him a Bass Ale instead?

The worst part is, you know your AL was in that truck, but the driver decided to take lunch and come back later.

I was thinking/hoping that maybe there were a bunch of packages in front of Albert and he'd get me on the way back.

But maybe Lunch is the real reason.

Didn't even know those guys took a lunch. ;)

They always seem to be going at hyperspeed.

Crap!

The UPS truck just drove by without stopping!!!
The same thing happened to me the day my Pet came back. I finally had to jump up and down in the street and make him miss me before he realized that I wasn't just out there to cheer on the UPS people or play a quick game of Traffic Tag. (That is a fun game to play if you have never tried it)

Go stand in the street and flag him down!

4:30 pm and no albert.

:(

UPS says it delivers ground until 7 pm.

Maybe the other truck was the early air truck.

Which one/color you gettin' glenn?

Keith, by a twist of fate I scored a NOS last White Sparkle, standard bridge, White ice pickguard, non-matching headstock (because that was very, very important) and 3 MM90 pickups. It's the same one as SteveLINY has.

It was built in 2001, it's 3.5 years old and GC (First thing I ever bought from them) hadn't been able to sell it. I have it sent up here from New Mexico and it got lost in the shipping process. Right before Christmas, I was crushed. Then right before the Christmas holiday break (we get off from Dec 24-Jan 2) I found out that GC only insured the thing for $800. I pushed UPS to help me locate it and more than a month later they found it. Seems it ended up back at GC in NM, but they never contacted me of the Mass store. I had them 2 day up here and then I went to check it out. I was/is in need of some TLC. So the dude at GC tries working mr for $1299, then he says I can only go down as low as $1200. I tell him to keep it, according to them it was only worth $800 when it got lost. I wait them out a week or so and they still haven't sold it. I call them and end up coming up to $900 total. To me that was worth it. The best part is that it's new with a warranty.

I pick it up next wednesday, I can't wait. This was the reason that I was/am selling my Blue Dawn Axis Sport. I have a guy in NYC that doesn't quite have all the money, but he really wants it. So, I've been waiting patiently. The deal I have with my wife is that to get one I have to part with one, and I'm sorry to say that the BD Axis Sport is the one.

Just in case someone is interested, send me a PM or email.

Sorry to be so long winded, but I'm pretty pumped. Later, Glenn |B)

I played an Albert Lee just like that one in the GC in Hollywood CA about a year ago. Wonder if it came from there.

It was a really nice playing guitar. Loved the inbetween sounds.

Mine didn't show up today, even though tracking said it would and a phone call to ups said it was scheduled for delivery thurs.

Keith, it did!!! The people at GC told me that it was special ordered for someone and then they changed their mind. It went from GC Hollywood to GC in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Talk about a small world.

Cool man, a fellow forum member played my guitar before I did, well soon to be mine.

I combed the EBMM database looking for it. I wanted an AL, but I really was looking for something in a cool sparkle. Like everyone couldn't figure that out. I was really looking for one in Glacier Blue, but I loved SteveLINY's when he posted the pictures of it. I even sent him a PM asking him if he was interested in selling it.

I'm thinking of changing the black MM90's for white ones and changing the knobs to Axis Sport ones (aka Telecaster style). I like those and I thin that they'l go well with the white.

The neck needs to be cleaned very badly and the pickguard has like rust ware around the switch, not sure how to clean that, but I'll figure something out.

I think I played it back in Feb 2004 on my way to see steve morse give a clinic at GIT. DP was in town that night. The GC is close to GIT. (60 miles from me)

Can't remember what the asking price was, but I'm sure it was over 1200 or I would've made a mental note of it.

I remember thinking, "Hey, I sound pretty good with this guitar. And I don't have to be at GIT for another hour!" :)

Then I saw steve play his guitar and I remember thinking, "Hey, I suck."

Yah well I was working them using the knowledge that it's been hanging around in GC inventory for 3.5 years and they aren't making any money on it. I used the 2004 model car on the lot in 2006 thing. I'm happy with the price and I know I'm going to be happy with the guitar.

Keith, I think that everytime I hear you guys play. I've never seen Steve Morse, and I started working my wife to go see him, if he has any Boston dates.
