Norm, PM sent, good luck.

I'm hoping not too, but I'll have to work on my wife.

Damn!

First I took it out of the case and just stared at it for like 5 minutes. The honeyburst w/shell pickguard and maple neck is a stunning color combo. Perhaps even my favorite of all my ebmm's. Imagine T'Pol from ENTERPRISE coming over and asking if it was okay if she took off all her clothes and asked you not to take your eyes off her. (Or if you have no idea who she is, then that hottie from DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES who's married to that gangster guy).

Kinda like that. Sorta. Well...

And it plays unbelievably great. Back of the neck is satinesque, the best of all three guitars I ordered direct. And the fretwork is superb. Very easy to play and no fret poking out anywhere near high E string. So a shout out to the fret guy...thanks a million. Wonderful work! Just effortless playing.

And thanks has to go out to whoever picked out the body and neck on this baby. There's the perfect amount of birdseye on neck and headstock and I'm glad I got the natty hs to highlight it. And the grain pattern of the wood is both elegant and striking at the same time.

And finally the paint guy. The honey burst is brightest around the bridge to the edge of the guitar, and it darkens up at the horns contrasting just beautifully and perfectly with the maple neck.

It's great to have both notch positions. I really missed #2 with the Luke as it doesn't sound anything like #2 on the Albert or a strat. Terrific tone. Very happy. This one ain't going anywhere, except maybe Yosemite. But I sure ain't selling it.

Next time I'm up that way, I'm first stopping at COSTCO and picking up a case of Corona's for y'all.

And finally, thanks to Doug at Daddyo's for selling me the guitar. Fair price, great service, everything as promised. Totally easy to deal with. Give him a try if any of you need a new ebmm.

Thanks guys (also Jon, Scott, and even that Rhonda gal ;) )

PS Extremely lightweight and comfortable to play. I'm diggin' it.

Nice score Keith!
I think that a matching stock look's good on the axis. But I prefer the Albert Lee's and silo's with natty stock's.Just look's right.

So where are the pic's already :D

I thought they stopped giving away 3 sets of strings in april '04

They've already given me 18 sets! (6 previous guitars) :D

And Doug at daddyo's was nice enough to include a few sets of my preferred brand (GHS)

I'll post a pic of the guitar in Yosemite about a month from now. Actually, I'll send a pic to someone that can post it. I'm a savant.

Funny.

But pics are a bit overrated. It's our reaction to our instrument and the joy it brings us that we describe here that counts.

But you gotta see this thing. Go build one on the EB website until I get one up.

Um, last I check they didn't have a honeyburst AL on the build-a-guitar...anyway, I want to see yours.
