I'm still waiting for my Petrucci 6-string, and I'm starting to get antsy now, so I decided to pop into the local Guitar Center last night.

I played an Axis there, never played one before. It had a great feel, although the neck was a little thick for my tastes, but it played great.

They also had a used Wolfgang there in a really nice tobacco sunburst sorta finish, for only $550 USD.

Hopefully I'll be posting the praises of my new JP6 in the very near future!

Cool man. Which JP are you getting? I'm supposed to be getting a EBMM JP-6 in Pearl Redburst in 2 weeks time...I just can't wait.....I can only imagine the happiness the guitar will bring especially after months of waiting!

Supreeth,

I also ordered Pearl Redburst w/all the options (Piezo, inlays, matching headstock).

I was hoping to have it around Thanksgiving, but that wasn't in the cards. Hopefully any day now..

Maybe if ernie1966 and Koogs would stop flooding them with orders, we could get ours!

I disagree. Our orders give them the practice they need to turn them out even faster. Practice makes perfect! Because of us, they can make 'em with their eyes closed!!

That's it! Everyone meet at Ernies house Tuesday for the intervention. ;)

Then after, we can divvy up the 23 JP's.

Hang in there - it's worth the wait

I just got my JP model - Limited Edition 2 w/ Piezo in Envy green - last night from UPS. I knew I wanted the Petrucci model for a year or so, and played a half-dozen of them in music stores, but none of them had a piezo, or was dark green (My fav color). I saw a EBMM Silo in Envy Green and decided that was what I wanted my JP model to look like (sans pickguard) Once I decided to buy that model, I searched for two months before I found one that wasn't already sold. I bought it from a retailer 500 miles away and had it UPS'ed in. I plugged it into my Boogie amp and it sounds incredible. It was well worth the wait to get the "tone" I've been looking for for about 10 years. I think the rarity of these guitars adds to their charm.

Not worried about you.

Very worried about the JP's.

23-9=14

New plan...we'll just divvy up the other 14. Obviously, they don't care about you seeing as how they didn't even show up!

OC, are you trying to view the picture with a Mozilla browser?? If so, use IE and the picture comes up fine.

Oh they care since they were there. They all just couldn't fit in the room at one time. Not enough "chairs."
