The pet store next to my favorite local Asian cuisine restaurant has a huge Emperor Scorpion for sale. Now, I don't act like a girl much (even when trying on my wife's clothes while she's at work), but I did cry a little bit when they threatened to take that sucker out of its cage.

My brother had a pet carpet snake and one day it got out and he never found it again. Although the kids from over the back lost their cat around the same time  He also had this dangerous fish that nearly took off my index finger once

Anyone need some Brown Recluse (Fiddleback) spiders? I have a bumper crop in all the car wash equipment rooms!

On the golf courses here in Indonesia it seems that only the crazy westerners will venture off the fairways to look for the ball after wayward tee shots. If the grass is more than 2" high the caddies won't take another step, for fear of cobras. I take my "S" (for snake) wedge with me and tread as heavily as I can, since I figure the average snake is scared of largish mammals approaching.

I'm really enjoying this thread hijack.

Jack, you need to sit down and write some fiction. I've read books that had much less interesting stories.

Randy, here's the pic I have for my before pic on the nutrisystem site. It was taken in Jamaica last November and I was at least 50 lbs. heavier. Susan is quite a bit slimmer too!

Before.

I've still got more to lose, but it's really not too hard to do with nutrisystem if you follow it explicitly. If anyone wants to check it out, pm me and I can e-mail you a coupon.

Snakes and spiders...not inherently afraid of 'em.

Back in college, one Wednesday evening there was a "hump day" keg party going on downstairs in the dorm. These events have one annoying feature...it's impossible to get to the keg because of the mob.

The guys in the room across the hall had a pet python, something like four feet long. So I borrowed it, draped it around my neck, and headed downstairs with my favorite tankard in hand.

The crowd around the keg parted like the Red Sea. Marvelous to behold! :D

(At one point during the year the owners misplaced that snake for a week...it turned up one evening, crawling out of the bass port in one of their speakers. Apparently it had been hanging out in there, listening to loud music for days on end. It was hungry and pissed.)

Looks like you were having a great time Larry.

Have a bunch of copperheads here that would love to have you rescue them Jack.

They don't fair so well with us natives.
