Of the Floyd Axis guitars I have played, I have found them a little brighter than my collection of hard tails.

well i was man. I was talking about it with another forum member and we said to check the serial number as well and then i would pounce on it.
So while im doing it some guy snagged it. We couldn't believe it.
**** happens, what to do......and it was on for weeks.

I musta been 30 minutes from pulling the trigger on it as well.

just gotta be more patient.

Did you see the Purple one on the UK bay??? its at the same price and in even better condition.
Thats a good sign that i will find another one in trans Gold.

Ill get a good one i just need patience.

I do however miss going to a music store and falling in love with a guitar and then buying it.

I actually thought the guitar is so good that i tried to look at a bunch of Axis Purples to get used to them and convince myself that i like em, but i just couldnt.

It is too awesome and i have been thinking of just getting it, but that would be silly.

The bright side of things is that it looks like there are some good ones that come up from time to time in the UK and at pretty good prices.

I agree though, that one should go pretty quick, its top notch!

I promise you, the purple one will play the same as an amber. I've owned an amber, a Burnt Apple Sparkle, and still own a sunburst, and they all play the same. One thing (out of many) that you can count on EBMM for is consistency.

Another thing to consider is that trans purple is a discontinued color. You could order a trans gold/amber today. Can't get purple anymore, unless BP and the gang re-release it.

I used to think that trans amber was the end-all and be-all. But it's just a color. The guitar itself is the end-all and be-all. Any Axis you get, regardless of color is going to be the right stuff.

Man im telling ya, the trans purple is at a very good European price.

Its a good sign too, that if patient i should find a nice one in trans gold like i want.
