Hi all,

I have a question about the warranty. The 20th silo which I want to buy is in Ontario, Canada, and I lived in Quebec, at 8 hours from there. What I want to know is if the warranty is valid to the EBMM dealer in Quebec City who is closer for me, or may I transfer the warranty to that dealer? How does it work?

Thank's a lot.

Cheers

The store I bought my guitar from is 2,000 miles from my home, so I kind of have the same issue.

Hopefully we will never have to use the warranty, thus making it a moot point. ;)

Here in the US if you had a warranty issue you would contact EB customer service. It might be the same in Canada but not sure.

AFAIK, each country has it's own distributor (with MM proper handling the USA). So moving elsewhere in Canada shouldn't be a problem. But heck, wouldn't cost you much to ship your guitar back to ON to get any work done if the dealer needed to do it.

If you're really worried, call CS and ask. Or email Beth, she'll take care of ya :)

Yes, I got your E-mail Beth.

Thank's a lot for answering that fast. That's why I want an EBMM. You make gorgious guitars and the CS is #1.

All the best

Oh, hahahaha...

I told him that it's always less complicated to deal with the store from which you bought the instrument. Nevertheless, the warranty is valid for the initial end customer with us at Music Man, so we will honor it regardless of which authorized Music Man dealer helps him. I also said that most dealers aren't into turning cartwheels for customers who don't normally shop at their store, but that Musique Richard Gendreau is a store full of great guys who would help Luc out in a pinch.

Voila!

:D
