Hey guys, a standard Morse popped up on a local 2nd hand site. It has a weird pick up and selector config:

Seller is convinced this is an original (from factory) config. I've never seen one like it, so I think it is modded, but it might be an early production model? Do you guys now?

Also, it has string tees...:S

That looks interesting, but I highly doubt that is the original config. Unless it was a one off for someone that worked for EBMM? Morse always used a neck humbucker, and the position of that neck humbucker in front of the single coil just does not make much sense.

Also, from what I can see, it seems to be a 5 bolt. If it was a really early one it would have the rectangular 6 bolt heel.

And those string tree retainers also look pretty weird to me.

hew??? it does not look like a fake rather than a original Morse with some modifications (string trees, blade switch instead of 3-way-lever, changed pickup-positions neck HB/SC, position of the bridge SC, maybe different bridge? - detailled pics?)
check serial number as DrKev said!
IF the serial is OK and the price is good, you might get an original Morse with some reversible mods (except holes of the string trees, need an original/new pickguard). But check if the pickups are the stock ones! The Bridge Pickup looks a little odd

Hey guys, thanks for chiming in.

I'm not interested in buying this (I dislike non-originals), but I thought I'd share because it's an interesting guitar nonetheless :D
