I tried to take some pics, but no dice. The lighting in my house sucks and it's gloomy outside. It's supposed to be nicer out tomorrow. I'll try to get some good pics before I head off to practice.

A little update about the feel, weight, and sound.
It feels a little different because of the jumbo frets. It's definitely built for speed, just like BP said when he announced it. The action feels a little lower to me, though that could just be the setup. The neck profile is the same as the other JP guitars and feels just as smooth and comfortable. The more symmetric body is really nice. It doesn't really feel much different from the BFR JP, but you can tell you have more body by your forearm.
The guitar is extremely light. This was the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the case for the first time. In comparison to my DD2 BFR, it's a featherweight. This is most likely due to the chambering.
And speaking of the chambering, WOW. It has the JP sound, but with the resonance of the 25th Anniversary. It sustains for as long as you want it to. I can't really hear a difference between the JPX and BFR JP when it comes to the Piezo, though. Maybe I just need some more time with both of them next to each other.
One thing I noticed right away was how easy it was to pull of crazy pinch harmonics at pretty much any fret. I noticed the same with my 25th and figured it was the different woods and pickups. Now I'm convinced it has something to do with the chambering. Harmonics seem to jump off the fretboard and they sound really juicy and fat.
I've only had it plugged into my Spider Valve so far. I'll crank up the Mark V tomorrow and really give it a go for a full rehearsal. Then I'll come back and let you guys know how it sounds with some power behind it.

So Brad - I got about a half hour to play with mine tonight with some volume, and holy crap you're right about the harmonics. EFFORTLESS. This thing is a monster.
I also spent some time comparing it side by side to my 2005 JP6 (pre-D Sonic). Obviously the JPX provides some new and different tones - but beyond that, I can definitely hear the difference in resonance. It's noticeable both with the mag and piezo pups. However to be fair, the JPX has both the chambering AND the tone block over the JP6.
Either way, all this cool tone in a lighter package. It just doesn't get any better than this! Oh - and so far no problem with the painted neck.
I've also noticed a physical/setup difference. While definitely not a problem, the saddles came from the factory set significantly higher than my other JP6s - but the bridge is at exactly the same height with respect to the body. The action is exactly the same as well. Unless there's an angle of attack difference, I'm thinking this might have to do with the bigger frets? Maybe? Like I said, not a problem, just something I noticed.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys! It's a toss-up between my 25th and JPX for #1 Six-String now. Only time will tell, I guess.

The EBMM painted necks really are in a class of their own. They don't feel like your typical painted neck on a Gibson or PRS. And they don't get sticky during long sessions.

Pete - I don't know if I missed it or not, but was it specifically mine you used for the demo? If so, I might pirate the video and keep it with my pics. 
BTW, the more I look at this thing, the more I like the shape. I think it's the coolest JP shape yet. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about the blade switch, but we'll see. Sounds like John isn't even sure based on his EBMM promo video.

Thats a great pic, Brad. Definitely seems like it actually captures the true color of the JPX. I do love the ones with flash where all the sparkle comes out though, too. How does she sound through the V?

LOL BP was talking to Derek and Glen about Petes vid and the comment yesterday at the show. Pete your just not metal enough LOL, and a JPX works well for slide, sounded great.
