First of all, I really hope this is ok to post, if not the mods can delete it. Second, I'm only posting this to see if anyone else has been affected by this new problem with the VA and is now crushing my overall life thus having a huge affect on my playing and ability to play.

Today I went to the VA ER and was DENIED treatment! They said I could only be seen for my service connected disability! After a bunch of sending me all over the place, I was told that there is a note in my file, which I saw, and it's basically right under my name on the main screen, that I can only be seen for the service connected diagnosis. This was NOT the case previously as I have been under very regular care and through many different departments - this would have been an issue from the start. I have been going to the VA for my current condition (Fibromyalgia) since March and my eligibility was approved without issue at that time. I just had a MRI on Tuesday and the note was not there and now I may not be able to get the results. I was supposed to come in for an appointment to go over the results but that is now not going ot happen. This must have changed yesterday and I think it's due to budget cuts and they are changing peoples' percentages to cut them out and reduce costs that way - all without truely explaining why. Now all my future appointments and refills have been cancelled/deleted so I am completely screwed....Without the pain meds and all the others, I will not be able to play, hell I won't even be able to walk around the house. If have 2 shows this month and now I'm really nervous that my medical issues will make me have to cancel. The first show is a benefit for fibromyalgia so I really don't want to cancel playing this event.

Sorry for the rant but I know you guys are pretty tight knit, supportive and although I don't post very often, you fellas and ladies have always been very nice to talk to and very understanding.

Again, I hope this isn't too out of range to post but it is totally ruining my motivation and physical ability to play my beloved Bongo...:(

Chuck, I feel for you. I would start running the chain and find out specificly when, why and who put the note there. From there, start running it by the hospital admin. and start contacting your congress men. It may/may not do much but iy has to start somewhere.

Best wishes to you! I hope you see positive results.
