My decimals are decimals too.

But they may be shifted to the right or left a bit. Generally to the left.

A few days ago I went to a client meeting. One member of the couple we interviewed was a Rockefeller (half-mile driveway, million-dollar paintings on the wall, etc.).

The value on their house had a bunch of zeroes attached to it. How many I'm not sure, but it was a lot. A whole lot. They were just on the other side of the decimal point from the zeroes attached to my house.

:D

At least my home-sweet-hovel is paid for.

I remember having a 10.5 lb. Sterling and an 8.5 lb. Stingray...it was kinda weird that the smaller one seemed to weigh a ton while the bigger Ray was as light as a feather. I'm on a quest to find a lightweight Sterling at the moment.

The Bongo weighs about 9.5 pounds, whereas the Daion weighs about 10.5-11 pounds. It ain't no lightweight, which is why the Bongo's nice for longer things.

Steve-Any thoughts?

Probably not for the best trade-in offer I could muster.

Well, that's what I get for sticking with unknown quantities. :D

Thank you for being so generous, anyway. If I need an EBMM bass in the future, you can expect me to go through you guys.

I use padded straps, heavy basses don't bother me much. Though I'd rather have a light one, no biggie.

+1

Using my "analogue" bathroom scales, my EBMM's weigh as follows -

Bongo 4HH 9 lbs
'98 SR4 10 lbs
'76 SR 10 1/2lbs

At other extremes, there's my Gibson LPB-3 Plus, which weighs 13 1/2 lbs, and my Thunderbird, which weighs 7 1/2 lbs.

When you get down to the .? I reckon relative humidity should be taken into account.

Can get humid and sticky. Can also get hot and dry. Dallas is... well maybe I should let a resident of Dallas tell ya about it.
