Ladies and gents, for those of you who haven't already had the pleasure, meet our newest forum member, Marty Albertson.

Marty is the CEO of Guitar Center and his views, opinions and input will be very welcome and, I'm sure, very interesting.

Most importantly, Marty also came to my birthday party in Dallas. Heh.

talk about a who's who of the Music Industry......Sterling Ball, Steve Lukather, John Petrucci, Marty Albertson, Beaver Felton, Dudley Gimpel I'm sure I'm missing others but wow we sure do have some heavy hitters hangin' out with us here! Pretty cool....and a great opportunity to sit back and soak up some knowledge! Everybody always gets excited to take a picture or get an autograph from their favorite Industry Icon, but I think its much cooler to be able to sit here and take in the stories, anecdotes and insight on the industry from a crew like the above mentioned. Good Stuff!!

Kids a little fair warning here......Marty is a GREAT guy, a very, very close friend of mine and my family........he has built the most successful business our industry could ever have imagined. He is a weath of insight into this business that we are very lucky to have. (subtle hint..respect and dont blow this one)

Marty is very familiar with most of you and has been a lurker and a supporter of what we all do here...... Lets see if we can get him to spill some beans
