the poor "not a bongo fan" dont know its a matter of time....tick tock tick tock

Your not lying. They are starting to grow on me. In the one post that I made, a few people recommended a Bongo to me. While I have never played one before, I wasn't to wild about the looks but now they are starting to grow on me. If the weather is good tomorrow, I plan on driving to Denver to try out some MM basses and also try out a few Bongos.

Once you strap it on, you won't care WHAT it looks like, and if you're looking down at your bass that much during a gig, you're going to do a header off stage...

Come on in the water's fine

I rarely look at my bass when playing but even the looks are starting to grow on me. My first MM bass will probably be a Stringray though. I need to find f I can get it custom ordered from any music store that carries EBMM basses though. I want to get it in Black Magic Sparkle with matching head stock, pearloid white pickguard and a rosewood board. That will be bass #1. I already have about 4 or 5 others I want already designed in my head with a 2 or 3 of those being Bongo's.

Congratulations!

An unlined Bongo fretless 6-string; not for the faint of heart! Or should I say faint of ear?

Congrats! That's a massive beast of a bass. Not to mention it looks amazing.

I had a friend in college who brought a six string fretless to class one day. The Prof said something like "Well if the bass playing thing doesn't work out for you, at least you have a pretty boat paddle.", the class thought it was pretty funny.

Played this exclusively with my trance-fusion group at a private party last night. Brought my 'Ray5H as a backup and didn't touch it. She plays like butter. The sound is all MM. What else is there to say?

WOW that's beautiful.

I love it, too. If this is the one you've been waiting for all this time, looks like the wait paid off. Welcome to the DisCO'09 club (I sent you an invitation).

Love the vintage pearl PG. I was thinking of this for my own bOnGo. Hope you don't mind the copycat. Waiting patiently for the bovine's reaction. This is the config that, in his words, "slays dragons"; for some reason, I won't ever forget that.

As for the wait time. I've been biting my tongue ...and I'm glad I did. I'm not going to share more negativity here. I will say that MM Customer Service seems to be stepping up to the plate admirably. I've had excellent success with MM CS in the past. That's a big reason why I stick with MM.

I would have no idea what to do with that, but it sure is impressive to look at. These Bongos are really starting to grow on me. I'll bet they sound as beastly as they look!

Future Bongoloid in the making... It's just a matter of time... and yes they sound even sexier than they look!

that bass looks like it eats other basses to sustain itself

I think they do... my cats don't walk too close either...

Thanks for all the compliments. :)
In other threads where a lot of people were saying that Bongos need bright/wild colors, I was smiling inside...waiting to prove them all wrong. ...well, me an EBMM. :D
