I've heard everything about the looks but nothing about how it plays or feels; how is it?
Yes it does sound awsome. As far as I could tell it felt the same as the current JP except for the finished back which might turn some folks off a bit.
I thought it felt and sounded awesome. I liked the upper fret access with the re-shaped horn - I sometimes bang the back of my left hand on the other models.
The push/pull tone pot allows the middle position to turn both humbuckers on full (when pulled), and the guitar sounds HUGE (especially the 7 string!)
The finished neck was not an issue for me whatsoever.
Uh-oh...that could spell trouble for my non-EBMM guitars and for everything I might be able to sell.The push/pull tone pot allows the middle position to turn both humbuckers on full (when pulled), and the guitar sounds HUGE (especially the 7 string!)
The standard switching on the JP has the humbuckers split to the two inner coils when the toggle is in the middle position.
On the F-1:
Push = standard JP switching w/ inner coils
Pull = both full humbuckers
Does the feeling differ between old and new one concerning the scoop for the arm?
OK we know how it sounds and feels, but the big unanswered question is "how does it smell"?![]()
I know that's a tall order but it would be really cool!![]()
Hey Sterling, any chance you could maybe get JP to comment on the differences from the original JP to the JP F1?
