.... I'm now officially in a wedding band. :eek::rolleyes:

All stereotypes and jokes aside, we had a great time and so did the guests. It had everything a great wedding should.

- Family drama (tears, arguments, earnest discussions behind closed doors)
- A guest carted off to the hospital (a diabetic who decided it'd be a good idea to drink)
- The inevitable weird, drunk uncle who kept interfering with the band (at least he could sing)
- A horrible stage to deal with (a two-foot-square pillar RIGHT in the middle of where we had to set up)

But there were high points. Like this guy....

And our singer, who really stepped up to the plate and looked stunning.

The first picture looks like many of the blues cats I play with!

I haven't played a wedding in years, not my favorite gigs. Nice shoes, BTW.

That was the best part. We didn't have to play anything truly cheesy.

They did request "Don't Dream It's Over" (Crowded House) and "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" (Elvis). Our singer also did an acapella rendition of "Crazy."

Other than that, it was just stuff from our regular set list.

Of course, some of that could be called pretty cheesy..... :D:D

Last wedding I played at we had a request for "she hates me."

That bass face suggest you concentrating on singer not the music. LOL.

I will only perform during the actual wedding service, it's the best gig, usually only one song, excellent pay and then you get to go to the party afterward and get drunk! After doing this for a living for over 35 years you pick up a few things. ;)
