to shed that "i'm not worthy" feeling.
don't get me wrong, i'm no closer to being able to play like him than 27 years ago (sadly)
became aware of steve morse in 89 and ever since i saw his music man on the oct 89 issue of guitar player magazine, i have always pined for one but never felt i deserved it.
still, it's never too late..
this is a near mint 1999 piece.
still over the moon for scoring this..

That's music to my ears right there! :)

Don't see a ton of the standard blueburst with a wobble bar - so, good score if that's what you're after. And as a '99 model, that should have the inset neck plate too.

Welcome to the SMOC, brother - please look for secret handshake and password to the SMOC executive rest room to be PMed to you soon! :D

very nice one! congratulations.
I know that feeling very well. I also drooled around those Morses a few years and thought the same.
But what the heck, life is too short to play bad guitars. Most of us here are hobby musicians. I believe guitar manufacturers couldn´t survive just from the pro musos. They need us buying their stuff ;-)

I am so glad that you shed the "I'm not worthy feeling". Your Morse is really cool. I love them with a Floyd Rose. Congrats!

Congrats on a beautiful guitar! I'm borderline obsessing over finding one of these. Have held out hope of finding a local one so that I could play before buying (I'm weird about ordering online) and have been unsuccessful so far. I'm close to breaking point and just ordering one online.

Don't want to hijack the thread - but not more than Steve... Yet! Actually have one en route now that's not listed in my siggy until it arrives.

Don't worry though - Sterling will keep making more, so everybody will get their share! :)

thats such a beautiful guitar... I still remember seeing the EVH for the very first time in my high school library... and thus started my longing for a musicman guitar. Love the nostalgia and congrats on the score

Congrats. If only those worthy of steve's playing bought one, not many would have one.

I had a VERY RARE black sparkle Morse. Never bonded though (prefer a cutaway back) and sold to a forum member. Not sure if there's a pic of it but it was nice!
Hoping for some morse live shows soon either DD, SMB or FC.
Tommy!!!

Keith,

Under those rules, I wouldn't have any! :D

There's no Purple shows until mid June... Certainly time for Steve to put together some shows (fingers crossed) :)

thanks for gracing my thread guys!
am going cold turkey in 2016 (a promise to the missus not to get another guitar) so the steve morse was a nice way to end off 2015.
here's a pic of my modest collection of balls:
