wow...the pix didn't do this thing justice..if I didn't know it was used I'd swear it came right offa the assembly line..when I say not a scratch on it, I'm not exagerating!

he even had new strings on it....of course, it was tuned to 440..and I tried to lower it a half step..and it got all fracked up cause there wasn't much left on teh strings at the tuners...

good thing I got a tone of new EB slinkies from guitar center today...lol...some new strings, a little adjusting of the springs in the back for the new tension and I'll be good to go...

thanks dudes =)

I like the neck alot..it's nice and smooth....very flat radius, which I like alot..still getting used to it though...so used to my lynch..been playin' that for years....

I'm not sold on the pickups though....they're growly..but a little too rounded and not percussive/high output enough for my liking..so those are gonna go soon..just not sure with what..LOL...maybe put some springs in there too so I can adjust the height when I put them in...

having a tuning issue...all my guitars have had string locks and fine tuners...I think it's binding at the nut though....someone said running a pencil in there will fix that though..thoughts on that?

that's the thing..I like the way they're voiced...but just not quite enough oomph...I think this is a ceramic magnet, no?

Not sure. It all depends what you want tone-wise.

Check out what I get out of'em and see if it's similar: www.13muses.com -> Media. Open the Media Player, you can stream our tunes.

That's my rig recorded flat. No post processing or eq'ing. Rivera TBR-1SL, Boogie Recto Traditional 4x12, Sure KMS32SL condensor.

I get plenty of oomph. ;)

Hey, congrats on the finally getting the guitar!

I figured you'd probably end up chaning the pups. ;)

I always try not to use any lube on my tremolo nuts (lol) except as a last resort. Not that there is anything woring with using it, but the graphtech nut will break in eventually and you never have to deal with lube at all. If you lube before the nut burnshes it will take it longer to break in and you'll always find yourself using lube. My JP is only a few months old and I can use the trem like a fool and it stays in tune without lube. I was able to do this within weeks of getting it... like by my second string change.

Either way, it's no big deal, just FYI. ;)

Enjoy it!

interesting..I'm not sure how much the guy who had it previously used it (I got it offa evilbay)...

it doesn't look like he used it at all..there's not a single scratch or sign of wear on it at all..so maybe it will break in....

I agree on the No lube advice. Give it some time to wear in, and I think you'll be happy.

Do you switch back and forth between the Lynch and Petrucci? Is it worthwhile, or have you played with your amp EQ? The Petrucci seems to have a lower output pickup compared to other guitars, but dialing knobs on the amp brought it around nicely with plenty of chunk.

I think I'm gonna do that..go nuts on the trem for a little while to work it in....I don't think the guy before me used it much..lol...

I haven't used my lynch siince I got it..been too busy messin' with pole peices, playin' around with it...I messed with the gain on my amp a little bit..but I didn't wanna put it too too high...
