Hi, I am looking to buy a John Petrucci signature guitar, I've found several on taobao.com(I live in China).
Those seller saids those guitar are "JPX 6 BFR", but I couldn't find any model named "JPX 6 BFR" in the Music-Man online catalog. Only "JPX 6" were there but not "JPX 6 BFR".

Is it possible those seller made up the model number just to get people to buy or is it actually were made by Music-Man?

Thanks.

My impression was that the JPX is a BFR. There are no different variations of the guitar other than the SS frets on the newer production line.

The JP 10, 11, 12 and 13 are all Ball Family Reserve models or BFR.

The JPX is a BFR. If you go to the EBMM site look at the 12th fret......:)

Oh, that's how it is.
I was confused by how they list their models in Guitars
You see there are "John Petrucci" and "John Petrucci BFR", "John Petrucci 7" and "John Petrucci 7 BFR",
So I thought the jpx has "JPX 6" and "JPX 6 BFR", I had no idea that all x, xi, 12, 13 are BFR.

Thanks a lot.
