I went for years with just the two EVH's that I bought back in the 90's as my only EBMM's. Recently the bug for more Balls has really gotten me & I keep buying more of the Axis guitars.
I got both of these this past week. The 2008 Vintage Sunburst was on Ebay. I submitted a best offer & it was accepted. Love the burst. Such a classic look to it. I wasn't crazy about that volume knob at first ...but I think its starting to grow on me.
The purple one is a 1999. This is from the era where the tops were painted & not hand stained...so while the flash in the pic brings out the flame...in person it is harder to see, as the purple is rather deep & dark.
This one was for sale in the shop where a friend of mine works. I had some gear that I wasn't using ...so we worked out a trade.
