Hi Guys

I'm a 14 year-old playing a lot of AC/DC and have just tried a 10 guage set of strings. Straight away my hammer on\s/off's sound really quiet and I can't even hear them on the higher frets.

I've got an Ibanez with tremelo (which I don't use). I'm more interested in playing fast licks rather than smashing chords.

I don't really know what I'm doing with the set-up of the guitar so have I made a mistake?

Would it be better to go back to my 9 guage Super Slinky's?

What does Angus use?

Please advise.

The difference between 9's and 10's is minimal
when talking about the overall output of the guitar. Their is a little more tension associated with the 10's and your guitar with tremelo would require a set up and intonation to be play properly. The 9's should facilitate easier bending for playing solo's. It may help to have a local tech make sure your guitar is properly set up.

Angus Young uses our RPS-9 set 9-42 with a reinforced ball end.
