What's the issue with the d-tuna & the new floyd? I have a new Axis on order & already bought a d-tuna for it. Is it not compatible w the new Floyd?

I don't know whether or not the D-Tuna is compatible. I seem to maybe recall a thread here where folks were having trouble with the D-Tuna and the new trem...

Another question... I see from pics that there's no collar at the base of the trem bar on the new floyds. Does the arm pop in or screw in? Or is it secured from the bottom like the gotoh?

The trem arm is a pop-in on the new Floyd.

I didn't have any issues installing the D-Tuna on my Axis Tribute. Could have been user error you read about?

Trem arm pops out but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get it swing freely.

The Floyd on my 2012 PDN Axis is one of the easier D-tuna installs that I've done. It also works the best so no issues unless yours is different.

So I have one of these new trems, but I never use it so I never noticed any problems. So on the original saddles the string rides on a rounded surface O vs in a rounded groove U. If so are you saying you notice a frictional difference created by greater surface area of the string touching in the groove? Anyways, just asking out of curiousity.

The 1.5mm hex screw on the trem block will adjust the trem arm swing. Depress the trem arm and you can see the hole for the screw by looking at the trem block below the string lock screws and base plate. Yes, the arm just pops in and out now. Love the new Gotoh.
