spectorbassguy, that Homemade Bass Hanger was something i was gonna get but buy one instead of make one, but then i thought of the weight of the bass on the edge of the rack which made me stop getting one.

Howz it working out for ya?
It works great because it's supported all the way to the back of the rack. Simple and cheap to build. Here's the post I put up with instructions:

I'll be getting rid of this in the next few weeks. It's on it's last leg. I've noticed it drops out in power, etc. Oh well.... It IS about 15 years old. I've driven the crap out of it - not to mention all the times I've loaned it out

This is the closest I have to a picture of my rig. Excuse my obvious lack of shame :D

Does this remind anyone else of Flea???

Ugh..that was not my intention (not too much of a fan of his) :D

We have a lot of fun when we play, do drawings for 'adult' prizes, act silly, and generally make fools of ourselves. So when we take pictures, we all tend to make stupid faces, and get in odd poses. So, this was my "I am a rock god" pose :)

Well, mine's got a few more miles on it and it shows, but here's a shot of a B-15. Right now I'm running it in conjunction with an old Moog 1x15, which is a bit more sensitive, and offers me a bit more clean output than the B-15 cabinet and 25W of 6L6.

In the next couple weeks, I'm having my cabinet guy start building a DR horn (the flagship DR250a, without tweets), designed by Bill Fitzmaurice. Lots more LF extension, and sensitivity of about 105dB with 1 watt input. Should get me over the hump stage volume-wise, and I can still mic up the B-15 on stage for that crusty vintage B-15 tone.

Check out the DR horns at www.billfitzmaurice.com The Tuba 24 is a great sub, too. It'll smoke ANY 1x18 out there.
