That's the copperhead bronze.

Only built a few, Guitar Center got the vast majority of them, from what I hear.

Nice finish!

Jack, thanx I appreciate it. I've mainly seen basses in this color. I've only seen 1 guitar just recently in it.

Thanx again, Glenn |B)

That pickguard is unusual as well. Colin

Yah I hadn't even noticed it, probably an after market one.

It gives it a 60's vibe. That color is cool!!!!

Nope, that was the standard pickguard for those.

Amazing that they weren't more popular, isn't it?

BP has shown to be ahead of the times. I'm just glad that the Bongo caught on.

Time flies no matter what the hell is going on, but I think those were introduced at NAMM last year.

Freaking dealers!

"No, we can't sell green basses!"

"Oh, that looks like copper, no one will buy that!"

So Guitar Center got a nice run of those, and there are a few guys here who own them. I figured it would take longer for us to look back fondly on the heady days, the salad days, if you will, of Copperhead Bronze, but no.....we already pine for it, don't we?

I know I do.

That's a great finish, and that pickguard is the perfect accent!
I think the color is freakin' awesome, however, the pickguard just makes me sick. Just not my deal, I suppose. The color, though, now that is sexy.

I don't know if I could see that same pg with another finish, but it just seems to do it for me here.

Ithinki that those were actually three years ago at the namm show. Most of those colors and pickguard materials came from suggestions from BMW/designworks from the same lady who did the interiors for the ROLLS ROYCE PHANTOM.
