Looks like it's either Candy Apple Red or Radiance Red, hard to tell in that picture.

odd that pic. it is a JP rad red (to my eyes) however with it being a JP6, the D-sonic is installed in reverse as per a JP7!?

I heard, that many JP players tend to turn the D-Sonic because they like the characteristics more then. Actually, there was a note on the DiMarzio site about that, but I don't think it's there anymore....

I'm wrong...it's still there. Here you go...

Tech Talk: Those of you familiar with DiMarzio® history will note the visual resemblance to our old MegaDrive™, but the design is completely different. Installation direction makes a noticeable difference in the sound, particularly with overdriven amps. With the solid bar toward the bridge, the sound is a little brighter and better-defined, and this is the direction we recommend for heavy strings and low tunings. With the adjustable polepieces toward the bridge, the sound is warmer and a touch louder, and we think this works best for standard tuning and more solo-oriented playing. Each coil has a unique tonal character, so the two split sounds are different, and parallel humbucking produces a third clean and bright sound.

i think candy red looks really flat on a JP, and a JP7 has an even bigger surface. it's just... dullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. it needs a pickguard to liven things up.

the burst finishes like seqoia gold and peal redburst look decent because of the burst, but i don't PRB and already own a Seq Gold.
