What colour to get for a JP

Hello, First post.

I had a JP7 Pearl Redburst a year ago but I sold it...

I regret selling it and hopefully get a new one. I'm aware of the BFR's coming out but not sure about the price. If its to much i'll have to say no. But lets just say for a standard JP i've thinking about getting it in Lava Pearl, Desert Gold or Mystic Dream. I'm sure you guys get these posts alot. Sorry in advance. I've looked at some pics and with some photos the desert gold and lava pearl look almost the same. Does anyone have additional pics of JP's in those colours. If not you can change my mind on a different colour if you want .

This is a hard decision for sure. There are tons of pictures available on here as I'm sure you have seen. I really like the lava pearl, too. I have only seen a few colors in person (Graphite Pearl, Sapphire Black, Carbon Blue Pearl, and Mystic Dream), but I always recommend the Mystic Dream if you cannot make up your mind on a color because there are so many colors that it contains! I have a MD and have been extremely happy with it every time I open the case. My jaw hit the floor the first time I opened the case.... MUCH more than I was expecting having never seen one in person.

I REALLY like the LE 2007 Blue Dawn color as well...

Personally I find the Desert Gold to be in between the Lava Pearl and the Medallion Gold. Hang tight, and I'll post some pics.
Personally I prefer the Lava myself.

If I were you I would wait and check out the price of the BFR's. I don't know how much you're willing to spend but I'm sure they'll be worth it. If not then GO WITH MYSTIC DREAM!!!
It's really an awesome color. Then again if you're willing to pay the upcharge for MD of pearl redburst then you could probably get a BFR. But I can honestly tell you you will never regret getting mystic dream. If you want to see some pics I posted them on this forum HERE

Thanks Guys, I'm sorting of heading toward the Lava. I think I saw a MD at a store so i might check it out if they still have it. And yes I'll be waiting for the BFRs to come in.

Wow I just did. Ok so now i might ask my dealer if he can still get it lol. Is that colour LE or something Can't see it on the colour charts.

It's an old colour that was discontinued and brought back as the 2007 Limited Edition.

Speaking of a White JP........ I have one on order that is supposed to arrive in 2 WEEKS!! I cannot wait! The D-Sonic is going to be sweeeeeeeeet.

Seems like not too many peoples care for white guitars, so it is nice to see someone else who thinks a JP in white looks bad@$$!

I have actually never seen one in person. I've only seen one in pics! It adds to the excitement.

hmm that's a tough decision. I would go with the Mystic dream because it's like 10 colors in one! haha. But the desert gold is really nice as well.

Ya I don't mind the white at all. Its just I prefer to get a more "cool" colour .

Welcome, DT1607! I am sure that you'll love your future Petrucci no matter which color you choose. We haven't made an ugly finish since Translucent Green or Fire Engine Red...
