I am totally blind but havn't been all my life. I finally have the money to buy my dream Bass but wanted some advice first. When I could see I wanted one of the Music man guitars in a bright blue/electric blue colour with a white pick guard and maple fret board. As I cant see I wanted to check that Music man pearl blue is a bright blue? I am looking at the Stingray but wanted to know the visual and tonal differences between the stirling and stingray? Sorry for all the questions.

My 2002 SR4 is basically that color. It's a fairly bright blue (could be pearl blue), maple board, and white guard.

It originally came with a black pickup cover, which I swapped for a white one.

As for the tone, I haven't had a Sterling for several years, so I can't help there. Others here will know.

The sterling is much mor versatile. It has a stingray like tone in paralel mode, but not quite the same as a stingray. Then a nice single coil sound and a more agressive series sound wich is great for slap tones. The looks of the stingray still win for me. As i find the sterling has a body thats a bit too small. But nothing beats the sound and feel of the sterling, fastest neck ever imo. I would sugest to try em both if possible. Good luck on your search!
