According to puppiesonacid's post...seems like the same one has been thrown about on ebay quite a bit.

I could tell you great things about it all day long. Unfortunately, I am out of town and don't have the time. I REALLY miss mine right now though. :(

The necks are awesome, feel great when sitting or standing and the tone is really nice.

Just like anything else, there will be complaints. This is not a perfect world. Stress cracks and other things happen. I would never buy any other production guitar, that is for sure.

In fact, my custom when ordered will have the same dimensions as the Pet neck. The best neck for me.

For me the body & the trem are the finer points along with the neck. I much prefer basswood for guitar bodies so the Petrucci has the exact sound I was looking for.

My brother who is an Ibanez player tried my Petrucci & his first impression was this is a "solid feeling" guitar.

My major complaints are the stress crack issue  which mine has now but I've had Ibanez's that suffered from this problem as well. The nut on mine is cut a little low but its not a major problem at this point. I also have minor buzzing issues on the 17th - 20th frets only but that may be due to the 24th fret being a little high or I may need a minor truss rod adjustment.

The strange thing is with all of these issues I want to keep & play my JPM even more. :D

The JPMs are simply great guitars and very veristile. I bought my JPM new about 1 &1/2 years ago. Within 9 months, I saw the stress crack everyone has been complaining about...these are strictly cosmetic. I called the factory up...they took care of it no questions asked by replacing the body. They say they've remedied the problem. I have no complaints...best of all, it's the sweetest guitar I've ever played.

There's not another guitar I'd rather play then my JP EBM. I've played JEMS, JS1000s, Killer strats and everything in between and I still can believe the playability and tone of my JP EBM.

Since buying my EBMM JP, there hasn't been much that I've tried that feels and plays better for me. In fact, there's only been one guitar that really challenged the EBMM.

I'm over the moon with mine and find it does exactly what I was looking for in a guitar.

So, are you gonna leave us in suspense Bowks or are ya gonna reveal what the other guitar that challenges EBMM is? :)
