Hey guys,

Can anybody tell me what the purpose of the circuit board wired into the EMG pickups on a Luke II actually does? Does it have any effect on the sound?

I've just bought a secondhand LII which has had it's bridge pickup switched for an EMG 89 and it's been wired back in without the PCB that I know was there in the original wiring. I think the guitar sounds ok but I don't know if it might be significantly different because it's missing the circuit board.

Any thoughts?

I think the PCB is only there to simplify the wiring and make it more tidy. i don't think it adds or takes anything away tonally. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone??
