Silo Special SSS (sapphire black), maple fretboard. I put a DiMarzio Chopper in the bridge. I LOVE that guitar.

My huge respect to everyone who designed this beautiful instrument! When I am about to buy a guitar the first thing I do - I play it unplugged and listen to how the wood sounds and feels. All EBMM guitars just sing. They have that open, true voice and you can feel the voice of it in the neck :) I don't know what makes that magic, whether it's the selection of wood or unfinnished necks of something else or all the things together, but EBMM guitars are amazing! Silhouette in my opinion in the perfection of the Strat' concept (sorry for using the name but lets face it - Silo's are in the Strat' field) . I don't think that design-wise any other company has elaborated on the Strat idea any better.

So when I picked that Silo', I strummed a chord and said "sold" (even though I didn't like the color too much :))) )

I'll post some picks in the evening... It's a nice color, great finish altogether, it's just my personal taste that's conflicting woth the color of my guitar :))) At the time when I purchased it in Toronto ON there were only few Silo's available for sale, and only 2 of them were maple (that's what I wanted). One of them was a white SSS with matching headstock but it was a hardtail model. The one that I got was the only maple fretboard with tremolo for Toronto and area :)

To be honest, time after time I'm thinking about refinishing the body in Surf Green :)) But at the same time I don't wanna touch the original finish of the instrument... Well, maybe I will just put a custom pickguard with some artwork on it :)))

See sig - my No1 is my BCB.

Whatever happened to Jimi?

Spud, he moved on, as most do. If I remember he sold off all of his EBMM's. He posts over on TGP and I think Birds & Moons.

Good guy, very knowledgeable. :)
