I was using 10's but my guitar was tuned down half step, now im playing in a band that uses standard so I went to 9's, they are too slinky though, what r u guys using for standard tuning? does EB make a 9.5? someone suggested I try that -

No EB 9.5. I left the fold for Boomer 9.5's, but after trying EB Hybrids, I'm back. Wanna buy a mess of Boomers? j/k

Check out the EB Hybrids. From what you've described, they should work for you.

I have the nickel hybrid slinkies (9-46) on all of my guitars. On my 7-strings I have recently begun adding a stainless steel 56 to that set... I was never quite happy with how the 7th string sounded (it was always a bit muffled somehow), but this new (slightly odd) combo works better than anything else I've tried in terms of definition and clarity. I still don't have the string ballance down to a T, but after a bit of PU pole adjustment, I think I'll get it back where it should be.

BTW: I was never a stainless steel fan, but for that darned 7th string it makes a lot of sense (to me anyway)... so I decided to give it a real shot and ordered home twelve stainless steel 56's

Cheers

10-46 on my main 6 string, 11-70 on my seven string. With my next guitar (the axis supersport) i'll most likely go up to 11's. The only reaosn i don't have 11's on my main axe now is that I really don't feel like doing a setup on the floyd.

I use 10-14-18-26-36-50, to maintain progressive tension from high E to low E.

I'm thinking of moving to a heavier set though, like 11-15-19-28-38-52, because I don't bend *that* much and when I do I don't have any trouble.
