Man - when it hits - it hits. You all warned me that once I owned one EBMM other basses would seem "less".....

I just put a brand new Rosc*e up for sale on TB. When I got it I thought - this is it - huge tone - great B - incredible construction. Then I got an SR5 HS. Darn you EBMM. Just sold my Sad*wsky RV5 and now the Rosc*e is up for sale. Guess when you find what sounds and feels right.........

I'm scared of going in mine :(

And after how rude they were to me on email I don't think I'd go in even if I could brave it! Sods.

Sounds like a nice place Azzy! I can assure you MY "shop" is pretty friendly (no, not in THAT way you filthy forumites)!

Just made a donation to your "I must be insane, I'm jumping out of a plane" charity fund. Hopefully some other forum members will kick in. Sorry it couldn't be more, but I already give to a few charities, and am not "wealthy" by any sense of the word, but if my Sterling sells ( :) ) I will increase it!

Aww bless you Dave! :D

With regards to the Sterling, give me a few more days - they always deposit the money at really random times of the month, so it's playing a waiting game now... :)

Lol :)

I hope to join the Bongo faction once I've got my Sterling... as I know that just one EBMM won't be enough!

We could photoshop some really scary pics with our faces on them... :D

That's the "dark" side of this place. It makes you feel like you need MORE. Weither you have 1 or 10 or 100, MORE MORE MORE MORE!!!! ;)
It certainly says a lot about the quality of the instruments tho! My other half who previously thought himself a Gi**on/F*nder man, has already planned the first THREE Balls he wants... and he hasn't even got one yet! I think he's in love... :p

You dig your SR5 more than that gorgeous Roscoe, that says a lot.

The Roscoe is amazing - very light and very unique. The tone of the SR5 is more to my liking. I have never kept a bass equipped with Barts for very long. I should remember that during my next GAS attack.

I've owned quite a bit of gear: including some nice "higher end" basses like Roscoe and Alembic. Something about them just didn't sit with me, I kept going back to the less boutique looking/sounding basses. I'm not a traditionalist by any means, hell I play Bongos. But I like that I dont' worry about banging my EBMMs into stuff, I just play them. When I had the Roscoe, I just could never get comfortable playing it out at a smokey bar. I love the way EBMM basses look, but I look at them more as amazing workhorse basses. Jump in the trenches and fight it out basses. Any "mojo" they recieve only adds to their beauty. EBMM basses just seem to sound better to me in the mix of things up on stage-My bongos always sound great.

+1

That is what I am finding as well. I had a Dingwall Prima that was so nice I could hardly bring myself to pull it out of the case - for fear of dinging it up. After a while - I blew the dust off of it and sold it.

I am really liking how my Sterling and SR5 are sounding. And like you say - for the money I get great tone - great construction/craftmanship - good looks and a bass that I am not afraid to jump in the trenches with!!

Life is good!!!!!!
