Welcome aboard and congrats kuch60. I'm really curious to hear more about this bizarre EVH guitar. The neck plate and other parts of the guitar look like it's the real deal, but an EVH without a signature on the headstock?

You should name this guitar The Enigma. : ) Looks cool. Lets get this posted on the serial number database thread and get some info!

Oh, and a big welcome to the forum kuch60.

I somehow missed this yesterday but, the guitar not having the standard " Made in San Luis Obispo USA " decal under the clear coat on the back of the headstock makes it very suspicious too. Is that a musicman gotoh floyd, I don't believe it is. I can't wait to hear what that serial # comes back with. My guess is that it's a bizarre Axis EX from Japan, or a Frankenstein parts guitar. Very bizarre!

I'm now pretty sure it's an Axis Ex, the thing is is that EBMM will not be able to confim it if it's the case, they will be able to confirm that guitar is not coming from them

Although Axis Ex's were suppose to be made with a one piece super quilted maple veneer tops (their ads do say book-matched maple tops though). This one definitely has a two piece top. I believe that when Islandboy got a pink Axis EX a year ago he was able to get info on it from EBMM customer service using its serial number (I could be wrong). We'll see...:)

Hey need to catch here, I`m way behind!!! The top is one piece, and the bridge is simply "Floyd Rose".

I just had to question myself, pull it from the case and get it under some better light. It is book matched, but man are these guys good!!!! There is a faint line visible from the trem cavity to the bottom strap button when you put some glare on the body.

Hmm, could this be our very own first EX on the forum?
I'm guessing the Floyd was switched out along with the pickups. Everything else seems to be standard EX. Too bad we can't pull a carfax on this deal.

Not quite, there's been a few on here over the years. I owned one once, had a neck like a '58 Les Paul!
