You wont regret it. I love mine just as much as my other models. The pickups have a great voice and not too much output which I like to let the amp do its thing. I use a tubescreamer as a boost when I need a little more from it. Works great!

I did own one, and the best thing about it is that you have a quality guitar that sounds great, and you don't have to worry about a scratch or a ding on it. Just a rock machine, a true players guitar.

Sub1's are good for kicking ass and taking names, shooting first and asking questions later, killing them all and letting BP sort 'em out. :D

I don't believe in this idea of a guitar is only good for one style.
It is all down to the player.

With a SUB, you can play in a lot of contexts. Today, I played some country stuffs (Turf's Up from Brad Paisley for instance) and it was great.
For Dream Theater songs, it's also perfect.
You can go wrong with a SUB !

If I could get a white hardtail HH one for a mod platform that would make my day. I'm still sad the SUB1's went away.

A Sub 1 is good for playing almost anything you desire to play. It can also be made into a Silo Special rather easily and then you've got the single coil options. Why not get one and find it's limitations, if any, for yourself. And prepare to be amazed.
