I write for an online music magazine, and as such am always listening to cds to review, and always looking for new things to listen to. What were the last five or so cds you all were listening to?
Mine are:

Elliott Smith : Basement on a Hill
Supergrass : Road to Rouen
Death Cab for Cutie : Plans
Beck : Guero
T. Rex : The Ultimate Collection
Queens of the Stone Age : Lullabies to Paralyze
The Rakes : Retreat EP

I highly reccommend them all!

Well, it's been out a couple of years now, but I can't get enough of Jaco Pastorius Big Band - 'Word of Mouth Revisited'.

Highly recommended for bassists, musicians, and all other lovers of gourmet music!

Just discovered Slam Buckra...what a sick mofo :D :D !!

If you like clean playin' and dirty/twisted lyrics...this is the man to listen to!

Placed an order for 'Dames and Gallows' on C.D. Baby this evening. Also, his merchandise is carried by the same online store as CowPilot's...I wonder how alike these two bands are...? Jack...comments?

Personal favorite tracks: 'Juanita's Crease' and 'Daddy's Got His Cake'

Well, my Slam Buckra 'Dames and Gallows' cd showed up a few days ago, and I just can't enough of it!

I even went to go see him last Wednesday night in the city with my band.

Geez, Jon!

I've been listening to her for years, even caught her live at teh Carnegie Music Hall here in Pittsburgh, and I didn't know she was married to EC!

She brings some monster jazz players with her when she comes to town, though!
My wife is a huge fan of the old jazz standards, and Cole Porter and show tunes etc. So I get exposed to a lot of it, too.

Listening to the wonderful tones of The Dirtbombs. Great band. And if you have read this, I demand that you go and buy their stuff. Go on, you villains, buy! Or I'll get angry.

Or cry.

One of the two.
