Knucklehead - species of the genus Musicianae. Defined by active and ongoing participation in one or more Ernie Ball Music Man web forums. The species has been compared to Tabasco sauce by EBMM CEO Sterling Ball, in the sense that a little goes a long, long way.

Characteristics include:
- Preferences that are often outside the mainstream, which gives the impression that many Knuckleheads are a few tuning keys short of a headstock. As a result, Knuckleheads occasionally encounter difficulty in environments where open-mindedness is hard to come by (e.g., certain other forums)
- An unwavering ability to personally ask the CEO for options outside the 64,398 variations already available from the factory
- A tendency to buy multiple Music Man instruments despite initial statements to the contrary
- A clear preference for colors and finishes that do not sell well to other members of the genus Musicianae, including non-Knucklehead Music Man instrument owners (e.g., green, sparkles)

Some isolated members of the species have displayed questionable tastes in diet (involving dead burned bird limbs) and wardrobe (involving a notable lack thereof).

Subspecies include Bongoloids and Altoids. A new subspecies - Reflexologists - has been reported but no confirmed sightings have yet been made.
