I hope nobody's done this before. I couldn't find another place for this since it involves both guitars and basses...
Basically just post your dream basses, guitars, amps, strings, and effects. Here. and if you want, you can calculate the price of it all combined too...

Cool. I'll play

A few Silhouette's and JP's in various bright colors. The Silo's with Duncan JB's in the bridge, Duncan Jazz single coil sized hum in the middle, and a Sub1 neck pickup in the neck. Peizo on some but not all.

Either a Bogner or Soldano head and as many 4x12 cabs as needed :p
Also a Roland JC120 for cleans

Haven't played with a lot of effects, but from what i have heard, either the AMT metalizer, Du Hast (rammstein sound), or Danelectro Wasabi for distortion/gain, and the Bad Horsie II wah (or maybe the ernie ball wah)

I don't know a whole lot about this stuff yet, but hey you gotta learn sometime right?

Well my dream set up would be full rack of Bongo's (12) we use six different tunings so 1 for each and a Back Up, 2 810 ampeg cabinets, 2- Mesa Boogie Heads doesn't really matter which one, I love there tone, 2 Sure instrument wireless units, a Korg rack tuner, a couple voltage regulators, a EbMM Wah & Volume pedal, Digitech Bass distortion,Flange, Chorus, and Delay, and One very good Bass Tech and Roadie to handle those 810 cabinets and String changes. I think that should just about cover my dream set up. Well Maybe not, I guess I would throw in a couple Stingray 4's and 5's and a couple of Sterlings to change it up a bit. Of course it would be nice to be in a band that made enough money to allow me to have all that.

Well, all the axes that I want are listed in my signature. Mainly we're talking about guitars, though.

Guitars:
BFR JP6s and JP7s
Original JP6s and JP7s
ALs probably BFR or LE with rosewood
BFR Luke
ASS with rosewood board, probably BFR
Silo Spec with HSS, rosewood
20th Ann. Silo.

Amps and stuff:
Egnater Mod 100 x 2: one clean head, one dirty
Two Egnater 4 x 12s
Some kind of PA set-up or acoustic amp for piezo
EBMM splitter box
Some kind of amp switcher, maybe a Framptone or EB volume pedal or something
EB volume pedal

Effects:
Well, since I don't know much about rack effects and what's out there in that market, I'll reserve judgement on that stuff. Maybe a G-Force.
Keeley Blues Driver, Tube Screamers, DS-1, some nice chorus--don't know what, Xotic BB Preamp, some nice delay--don't know what
EBMM Wah

Keys:
Korg Oasys
My Yamaha Clavinova

Bass:
30th Ann. SR
20th Ann. SR5 HH
Bongo 4H, 4HS, 5HH, maybe something with piezo

Recording:
Hmmm...I suppose an iMac or Mac Pro with Logic Pro or Express or Pro Tools would be sufficient. Any interface stuff that may be necessary. A few mics.

For me....something that sounds exactly like Petrucci's rack, and comes in a box the size and weight of a Roland Cube!

Oh and it would have a 'talent enhancement' knob too for the tricky bits!:D

Here's mine:

EBMM guitars, no point in narrowing it down, I go through phases of wanting 1 of each kind :)

Effects
Cornish all-tube board, in a similar configuration to the one that he recently made for David Gilmour.

Amps
Hiwatt DR103's

Cabinets
Custom Audio Electronics CAE212 2x12, some loaded with Eminence, some with Fane.

That should do me for now....

take a look at my signature - with the exception of a vintage, hand-carved top jazz guitar and maybe some crazy effects, I think I am almost there .... 'course, there will always be room for more Balls and more Zs ;)
