I wouldn't trust anyone on the JP forum that doesn't post here on the EBMM Forum or HRI, most of the general posters have zero clue....Koogs can vouch over the battles (truss adjustment....for that I use a mallett....remember that one bro? what an idiot.) I've had on there about doing things properly...the amount of misinofrmation that passes on there is staggering...

I use both a guitar with piezo pickups and two others with standard alinico pickups onstage. My piezos don't like my tube amp. I found that solid state amps work better for piezos. I use a Fender Rumble 25, a bass amp, for my piezo pickups. If I am doing my solo act then I go through my PA. Anyway my piezo pickups don't like tube amps.Pignose.
Actually, don't a couple of you folks break it off a la PA? I know norm does...had his JP running dirty through his Johnson Millenium, and piezo to a PA/mixer, etc. Sounded pretty damn good to me!
I guess I should watch this thread too, since I'm going to be breaking off a piezo as well. Good call on the thread, yayito.![]()
I use several guitars on stage. I have an LTD L6 thinline that does not like my Hot Rod Deluxe. The HRD loves my electric guitars. I have found that piezo pickups just love solid state amps. I use a Fender Rumble for that guitar, $120. Yes I know it is a bass amp but it is amazing. I can also go in through the PA and the sound is also incredible it just depends on what setup we are using that night. What is the best choice (cool sound but no too expensive) ?
Dude, you made my day!Dude, this thread is almost old enough to walk into a bar and order a beer.
