Well I kinda grew up in the 80 but I was never into the glam stuff, more like RUSH and early VH and them some new wave stuff, but I went to college in 91 and I was blown away by AIC and all the seattle stuff, love everything chris cornell has done etc...saw pearl jam at a small bar in Madison Wisconsin where I went to school 2 weeks into my freshman year of college and I knew they were gonna be big! btw go badgers in the final four!

I like everything! Classic rock, pop, lots of different stuff. I could be enjoying some 80's pop music one day and Pantera the next. However I have no tolerance for rap or too 'out there' jazz music.

Really I like what I like and its hard to define!

I like classic rock as well, genesis, zeppelin, hate rap, think its silly actually, but I do like tribe called quest but that's more alternative...

For me it's everything between Lamb of God and Florence and the machine. Very diverse, but there always has to be some form of guitar involved.

Although I can appreciate rap from time to time:

'rap is like scissors, it always loses to rock'

at the moment: Steel Panther! :D

but, all those great bands like VH, Deep Purple, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Def Leppard,...and many many other
as long as it is hard-rock or metal, but it needs to have melodic vocals, don´t like this new "metal-core" or "djent" style growling, that´s not my cup of tea.

For the most part my tastes are very varied. There is very little I don't like (rap and ballet, and to a lesser degree bluegrass).

I play in a cover band that concentrates on the 80's for the most part - doing a lot of Journey, AC/DC, Def Lep, and similar. However I rarely listen to what we play for pleasure.

These days, I mostly listen to Dream Theater and similar stuff. Also, I listen to guitar players I like and to the guitar players they like. So, Petrucci led me to Morse, for example. I'll probably start exploring DiMeola's work. Luke and Timmons brought me back to Beck. Love Bonamassa, and I've started exploring Gary Moore. I'll probably start looking into some of his other favorites too. I love old soul music along the lines of Marvin Gaye. I like some World music too, especially stuff with a Latin or Brazilian influence. That's where I am these days.

I like a lot of metal, prog, and classical guitar. Mostly I listen to Dream Theater recently and classical guitarists like John Williams and Julian Bream.

I listen to a lot of Alice in Chains, Tool, etc. I like In This Moment quite a lot. Lately, I'm listening to Monster Magnet on a daily basis.
