What kind of strings on your EB?

EB Super Slinkies .100 on Gloria (the stingray) EB Superslinkies .100 on Roger (the Bongo) TI Jazz Flats will be on the project stingray (Hermione) when its finished, even though it'll be for sale. Is it lame that I name my basses?

EB Extra Slinkys on my Sterling in Natural.
G string very "snappy" when popped :D

I like DR Hi Beams too - they tend to last longer than other strings I've tried. They sound great on my StingRay...

(By the way, Hi Everybody, I'm new here...)

Hey Bondovatic. I hope you like it here. We all are very pro music man, and we expect you to be the same :)

Ernie Ball. Those are the strings I use and swear by. Though the only string that interests me are those Thomastik's everybody keeps talking about. It's so much pressure, "Come on sam, everybody's doing it... just put em on your bass... yeah that's it" so I'll get around to that eventually. Now EB has got flats though, now those I wanna try.

Confession: I like dead Slinkys.

But on my Sapphire Black Bongo fiver, I loved the DR Fat Beams for a while, but have gone back to the TI Flats.

On ED, the Ltd Edition Envy Green Bongo Fiver, TI Flats.

On Heinz, TI Flats.

On my Desert Gold Bongo 4, LaBella Deep Talking Flats.

Almost everything else wears TI Flats. I'd like to try the EB Flats on a couple of basses I have around here......

EB Slinky's on my SR4, SR5, and Bongo. D'Addario Prisms on my Sterling. I've been using Prisms primarily for the past five years, but have lately come to appreciate the Slinky's more and more. Also occasionally use D'Addario XL's when I pick them up cheap.

Thanks Guys for all of your opinions. I have Rotosounds on all of my other basses.
My Sterling currently has the original Slinky's on it. I wondering if the Rotos will be too bright with the maple fretboard.
B :o

Prisms are stainless steel and I think they sound great. Now I like a little bite in my strings, but I'm not a mad slapper/thumper so it's not about that. Not sure about the Rotos', but I believe The Dude has been a Roto rep for awhile, maybe he'll chime in.

Bongo 4HH = EB Slinkies 45-100 - love them

StingRay 4H = EB Slinkies 45-100 - ditto

Bongo 4HHP fretless = came with EB Slinkies but will soon be wearing TI-Flats :)

well since getting my '79 pre-EB last year
ive tried new round wounds - no likee
i then tried tomastic infield jazz flats - no likee
tonight out of desperation i just fitted chrome flats !!! WOW they are my sound like no other, seriously they have saved my bass from being sold on, theyre that good IMHO

Fender 9050Ms on my Sterling, some kind of GHS flats on my SR5 (black silks, whatever they are) and EB Group I flats on my Bongo.

I'm liking the EB flats enough that they may become my new standard.

Well iv always used roto jass medium gauges on mine..sounds damn sexy once worn in but it does take a while...so just put them on your back up bass till they wear in...what iv done..seems to work nicely...

Just put a new set of Chromes on the Sterling fretless. A nice change after the Elixirs. Very nice indeed.

At some point I will try some flats on the Bongo, but I'm still enjoying the growl from the Blue Steels.
